Three days in nature, housing and food included, to make progress on your thesis while building your interuniversity network. This first edition is intended to become a recurring annual event, designed to evolve based on participant feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Objectives<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create an interuniversity community among the PhD students of the three doc inter universities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stimulate creativity and ease productivity pressure through a setting conducive to writing, in nature and with full board.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop a useful professional and academic network for the doctoral journey and beyond.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Combat isolation by offering a collaborative and supportive space, essential for breaking the solitude of research work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Practical Information<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The residency alternates between individual writing time and collective activities. Each student remains free to organize their schedule according to their needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dates<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wednesday 23 \u2192 Friday 25 September 2026 (arrival Wednesday at noon at the earliest, departure Friday evening at the latest)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Location<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Station de biologie des Laurentides (managed by UdeM)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accommodation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Full board (all meals included), double rooms (2 student by room)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PhD students who are members of doc inter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Available Places<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">12 participant places + 3 places reserved for student organizers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cost for Participants<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Approximately $30 are budgeted if cars are full (round-trip carpool contribution). Accommodation and meals are covered by doc inter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 12 places are awarded according to the following principles by the CEDISC committee:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Priority to students in an active writing phase.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cFirst come, first served\u201d principle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Balance among participants from the different programs (UdeM, Concordia, UQAM).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fill out the<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/41mpeX9eMvzpZ6Wv8\">\u00a0application form<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Application deadline:<\/strong>\u00a0September 6, 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Results will be communicated no later than September 9, 2026.
