N\u00e9 en 1948 dans une famille hautement artistique, le succ\u00e8s de l&#039;artiste Tahltan-Tlingit Dempsey Bob \u00e9tait sans doute in\u00e9vitable. Il a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 apprendre les formes et les techniques artistiques aupr\u00e8s de ses grands-parents et de sa m\u00e8re, et a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 sculpter en 1969, sous la direction de la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre artiste Freda Diesing de Prince Rupert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les \u0153uvres de Dempsey Bob sont expos\u00e9es dans des lieux prestigieux \u00e0 travers le monde, de l&#039;a\u00e9roport international de Vancouver et du Smithsonian \u00e0 Washington DC, aux mus\u00e9es d&#039;Allemagne, d&#039;\u00c9cosse et du Japon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En 2013, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 Officier de l\u2019Ordre du Canada pour sa contribution \u00e0 la pr\u00e9servation de l\u2019art Tahltan et Tlingit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En plus d&#039;\u00eatre l&#039;un des plus illustres repr\u00e9sentants de l&#039;art autochtone de la c\u00f4te Nord-Ouest, Dempsey Bob est \u00e9galement un mentor d\u00e9vou\u00e9. Il a form\u00e9 de nombreux \u00e9tudiants au Canada et aux \u00c9tats-Unis.
