Le septie\u0300me pe\u0301tale d\u2019une tulipe-monstre concludes its Canadian tour at Galerie de l\u2019UQAM after being presented successively at La Maison des artistes visuels francophones (Saint-Boniface, Manitoba) and Galerie d\u2019art Louise-et-Reuben-Cohen (Universite\u0301 de Moncton, New Brunswick), each iteration including new articulations of the works and the relationships between them. Curated by Elise Anne LaPlante, the exhibition focuses on the concept of the mutating body as an act of self-definition and emancipation as it unfolds in the practices of feminist and queer artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Galerie de l’UQAM welcomes Unpredictable Spaces, an exhibition by Stanley Wany, Graduating Master\u2019s student in Visual and Media Arts at UQAM. Supported by movements of thought on Black identity, the exhibition is grounded in the cultural ecosystem of the Antilles and becomes a site of \u201ccreolization,\u201d an unpredictable space created out of the encounter between different perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
