The event invites reflection on the transformations of research in art history since Doc-Inter was created in 1994 while exploring the changes and innovations that have marked the last three decades. Over three days, panels, round tables, and workshops will bring together current and former professors and PhD students and graduates to outline a portrait of past, present, and future research. The goal is to jointly examine the evolution of study subjects, pedagogical practices, and critical approaches over the years.

The Doc-Inter organizes these study days in partnership with the Faculty of Arts, the Department of Art History at Université du Québec à Montréal, and the Research Chair in Curatorial Studies and Practices; the Faculty of Fine Arts, the Department of Art History, the Dark Opacities Lab, and the Gail and Stephen A. Jarislowsky Institute at Concordia University; the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Art History, Cinema, and Audiovisual Media at the Université de Montréal, Research on Art and Architecture of the 19th century (RAA19),  l’Ouvroir d’histoire de l’art et de muséologie numériques de l’Université de Montréal, and the Canada Research Chair in Citizen Museology.
