The summer seminar “Introduction to Black and Afrodiasporic Studies”, led by Lyns-Virginie Belony (Université de Montréal) and Abigail E. Celis (Université de Montréal), offers a six-day cycle of conferences and workshops. As part of this summer seminar, in collaboration with CRILCQ, the conference day « Contemporary Creative Practice in Quebec » is open to the public, no registration required.
Organized by Alex Noël (CRILCQ, Université de Montréal), Emeline Pierre (CRILCQ, Université de Montréal) et Martine-Emmanuelle Lapointe (CRILCQ, Université de Montréal), this day will be dedicated to a suite of conversations between researchers and artists, and will end with a screen of the film Ibuka, Justice.
The event takes place on May 30, 2025, doors opening at 9:30AM, at the University of Montreal Lionel Groulx Building, rooms B-3240 and C-1017-2. Refreshments will be served.
