Call for Participants: Research Trip to Ottawa, October 16, 2026

The Doc-Inter is organizing a research day in Ottawa for its students on Friday, October 16, 2026. The project is funded by Doc-Inter.

Itinerary:

9:00 AM: Departure from Montreal via carpool (4 cars)
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Guided tour of the National Gallery of Canada (NGC)
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Lunch (packed lunch provided)
2:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Visit to the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) gallery (optional)
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Lecture by Hanna B. Hölling on “critical conservation,” organized by the UQO
4:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Networking reception hosted by the UQO
5:30 PM: Return to Montreal

What the grant covers:
Carpooling costs for 4 cars, the packed lunch, and a portion of the tour fees.

Costs covered by participants:
NGC admission fees: $15 (ages 18–30) or $22 (ages 31-64). If you have an ICOM card, please bring it; it grants you free admission.

To participate, email us at cedi.disc@gmail.com providing the following information:
Your name and program;
Whether you can drive and the number of available seats in your vehicle;
Any dietary restrictions.

Spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, while ensuring sufficient vehicles and representation across the various Doc-Inter programs.
Confirmation of your participation, carpooling arrangements, and the final program will be sent out on October 12.
